Customer Centric Model

It has been my agenda for nearly 20 years to reform an industry that is for the most part built upon a shifting and unreliable foundation that has always been broken and is heading for total annihilation. If you have attempted to build a business in MLM Network Marketing) you will relate to what I am addressing.

For over a decade this vision has grown in urgency and definition to help direct a broken industry towards developing a customer based centered direct sales model. All of this was originally inspired by a maverick move towards customer acquisition by a company called Trivita. In 2001 I was introduced to this new direction in MLM by the simple statement, just buy your customers. I had already been engaged in the MLM industry for nearly 10 years at that time. My first exposure to MLM was in 1992 with the first to market a consumer (customer) based ISP, nationwide dialup Internet access for $20 per month.

I have been an entrepreneur my whole adult life and a good portion of my teen years as well, with my first business started at the age of 14. Prior to my exposure to MLM, I was and still am a traditional business entrepreneur. Therefore to say, I found the MLM model of exclusive distribution to and consumption by distributors and only motivated to this action by pursuing profit; “alien, illogical and disturbing”.

Let me explain:

My introduction and very successful sojourn with Trivita helped me discover the stark contrast between the artificial economies of a distributor based sales company in contrast to a customer based sales company. I studied this comparison for many years and it became painfully clear, the reason traditional MLM fails, regardless of the compensation plan, regardless of the motivational speakers, regardless of the training to sell the “Hope and Dreams” as that is the only way to promote when the products and or services are frankly, always overpriced and usually underwhelmingly ineffective. There are very few exceptions. So the glaring difference I found in Trivita was the fact that for every distributor I recruited, I averaged 100 customers. Then the fact, I did not have to sell Hope and Dreams and instead, the pitch was just buy customers. The reaction from the potential distributor was always extremely positive and the close rate of a distributor was very high. When you factor in that every distributor usually meant 100 customers, the potential success was superior to anything else like it.

This was just a company that offered co-op acquisition of the leads and customers Trivita acquired via their infomercials and not much else. Even Trivita’s products lacked true demonstrability and the pricing was not competitive. The only viable benefit regarding being customer centric was the fact you could just buy customers, that for the most part, only about 20% stayed a viable reorder over the years.

Because of this one aspect with Trivita, I have enjoyed a significant income for over 10 years with little attention, a true residual income. Over the years as a vendor to the MLM industry, occasionally getting involved with a few companies because I was promised they were going to offer customer centric solutions. None of them ever did and in my opinion, the super majority of MLMs are run by greedy sociopathic owners, that understand the game and that being the 3 month rule. They build their businesses to inspire, motivate and separate their new distributors from as much money and contacts they can. They know their business model only attracts distributors seeking some semblance of financial success therefore they lay their snares with grand claims of Hopes and Dreams. I consider it borderline criminal. Now we finally arrive to the meat of this article, that being what is a true Customer Centric direct sales company look like. Being that there really isn’t any yet, we have to go to the imagination and vision that to some part is guided by good business principles and look at some of the true customer centric businesses on the scene today.

Amazon could easily be the epitome of customer centric.

amazon.button

Wow. “Earth’s Most Customer-Centric Company.”

That is big, it’s bold, and it’s risky for a brand to make the promise to fulfill on that 24/7 every week of the year.

Service recovery design pays off

Of course the shopping and purchasing experience on Amazon has been exceptional for years. But what if a customer has a post-purchase problem? A big part of customer experience design is a focus on “service recovery,” or designing and refining the process when something goes wrong for the customer. Beloved brands like Zipcar know this is a critical opportunity for delivering moments of delight.

It is all about Customer Satisfaction.

Let me repeat that,

“IT IS ALL ABOUT CUSTOMER SATISFACTION”!

The latest results from the American Customer Satisfaction Index reveals Amazon.com as the reigning and undisputed champ in both Internet retailing and across the entire department in overall customer satisfaction. Amazon’s CEO, Jeff Bezos perhaps more than any business leader has taken the philosophy of truly caring for the customer and ushered it into the digital era. Bezos has built a company from the ground up purely based off of the unbending, unyielding philosophy of serving the customer across all departments. With a 164 million Amazon customers, few would argue Bezos as the key architect of building an authentic, customer-centric company.

Pointers from the article 7 Customer Service Lessons from Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos
https://www.salesforce.com/blog/2013/06/jeff-bezos-lessons.html

1. Don’t Just Listen to Your Customers, Understand Them

Everyone has to be able to work in a call center.”

2. Serve the Needs of the Customer

“We’re not competitor obsessed, we’re customer obsessed. We start with what the customer needs and we work backwards.”

3. The Empty Chair

The Most Important Person in the Room “Focusing on the customer makes a company more resilient.”

4. Never Settle for 99%

“We’re not satisfied until it’s 100%.”

5. Respect Today’s Customer

“If you make customers unhappy in the physical world, they might each tell six friends. If you make customers unhappy on the Internet,
they can each tell 6,000.”

6. Strive to Create a Customer-Centric Company

“If we can arrange things in such a way that our interests are aligned “with our customers, then in the long term that will work out really
“well for customers and it will work out really well for Amazon.”

7. Don’t Be Afraid to Apologize

“We will use the scar tissue from this painful mistake to help make better decisions going forward, ones that match our mission.”

Over the past two decades, Amazon has held a steady pace of positive press due to their industry-altering company and great customer service. However back in 2009, the foundations of the online book mogul were shook when they remotely deleted copies of the books “1984” and “Animal Farm” from users’ Kindles. The incident prompted an outcry of Internet users to see the dark, “Big Brother” side of Amazon – one that Bezos had worked hard to steer clear of. Amazon quickly made an apology with the usual dry and inhuman statement from the press team. But what really turned people back towards Amazon, was an informal and heartfelt apology from Jeff Bezos:

From “MLM” aka “Network Marketing”,

to a sustainable Coop Customer based Marketing Platform!

Now the vision for a better kinder direct sale company

I have run MLM companies, built them, serviced them as a vendor and engaged with them as a distributor for more than 20 years. I have touched and serviced and influenced over 100 million associates over this period of time. The following is my agenda to change this industry to service the little guy and gal, offering a real solution to build a middle class sustainable income for everyone, not just the elite few, we know as “leaders” in their respective company.

1. A Viable and Competitive Product

First and foremost, the “company” must offer a viable product and or service that does what it says and better than any of their competitors and better yet, have a product or service that has no legitimate competition. I could go into great detail here about the MLM industry and their underwhelming and over priced products with many making spurious claims to eventually be shut down by the FDA, etc.

2. The Virtual Warehouse

This may be putting cart before the horse. Inspired by Amazon’s virtual warehousing for their merchants selling in Amazon, it is time the MLM industry moves forward with a similar solution. Storing and paying additional shipping, your monthly product commitment in your spare bedroom, garages or den has been the standard fro decades. With today’s technology and database management abilities, there is no excuse to not move toward a virtual solution for distributors. This can be done in house by the company, or, use Amazon’s virtual warehousing that is available on a global scale.

This one upgrade to this industry will make reselling, shipping and distribution automated and easy for every distributor, regardless of location or available storage abilities. Bottom line is a doubling or greater movement of product.

3. Customer and Lead co-op acquisition

This is where the company marketing people run ads, driving vertically targeted prospects to an 800 number or website, acquiring quality pre enrolled prospects or customers who have purchased or best have enrolled into auto ship. The distributor’s contribution enhances the company’s budget and the “partnership” enhances the customer’s retention. The company also makes available to the distributor mailing lists to their “enrolled leads and customers” to assist in the continued purchases etc. It is a win win situation and is a proven technique as proven by Trivita.

4. Becoming an E Retailer (automated back office shipping)

Now that the distributors have their inventory, products and samples (if applicable), online, in an offsite virtual warehouse, the process to send product or samples becomes effective and easy. As simple as logging into the back office of their respective MLM company, entering the product (pulling from existing inventory and/or purchasing additional inventory), quantity, and drop ship address, with a simple click, the product or sample is easily on the way, while the distributor is still talking to their prospective client, prospect or distributor on the phone. This seamless process makes the potential growth of the company and distributor 100 times greater than the typical cumbersome processes today.

5. 800 telemarketing service platform

Today’s technologies not only make this proposed service affordable, but extremely effective. Typically, new distributors are assigned an ID# number. The number resides within the servers database to track sales, commissions, etc. of the distributor. Thus the hardest part is already done for an 800 sales number. [A little explanation of current tech] 800 number technology software interfaces display the originating number, or forwarded number. IE: If the distributor develops a radio commercial with a phone number (toll free or not) then forwards that number to the company 800 number, all he or she needs to do is register that number (via the back office) or calling it in. This way the telemarking operators receiving the incoming calls, or the technology, know who originated the call and the orders are taken and assigned appropriately to the distributor.

It can be as simple as the distributor takes a call from an ad, the prospects decides to buy the product. The distributor can easily 3 way into the 800 platform and assist the sale. It can be as easy as an ad running offering a product with the company main toll free number offering free shipping and handling with the special pin number. It can be very easy to build.

nopalea.800

Imagine the projected results with the distributors taking the initiative, no more need for mentors, no more need for narcissistic leadership, no more need for motivational events, because the motivation is found in the system and the results. Imagine!

6. API (Application Programming Interface).

Distributor selling on Amazon, Ebay, Alibaba, etc.

Basically, the MLM company has an API developed that interfaces with Amazon, Ebay, etc for the distributor. This allows the distributor to develop an online store on Ebay, Amazon, Alibaba, etc, drive and support the prospects and customers, but the sale interfaces through the company. Thereby the company controls the pricing, collects the money (connected to the distributor) and ships the product. All the collecting, shipping, tracking and commissions paid out is done by the company.

API: In computer programming, an application programming interface (API) is a set of routines, protocols, and tools for building software applications. An API expresses a software component in terms of its operations, inputs, outputs, and underlying types.

Basically allows the company to remotely control pricing,

merchant collection, shipping and communication via the

distributors Ebay, Amazon, etc. account

7. Retail Sales Only Sites (Widgets and actuals)

Traditional MLM companies give a distributor a self-replicated web site that is upfront and focused on selling the Hopes and Dreams of the opportunity, the money, the comp plan, the hype and flash of it all, designed to recruit more distributors. This is death to a retail customer. Very few MLM companies even consider a dedicated self-replicated retail sales only site for their various products. I have yet to even hear of any companies making a simple widget that allows the distributor to have the retail site hosted via the widget on their own domains, much less the ability to add any customization to it. Below is one of the first and rare MLM retail sites I am aware of. It sells the coffee, the coffee benefits offers one off sale and free shipping with autoship.

More about widgets here:

8. Social Marketing Aps and systems

Marketers, merchants, etc. need a portfolio of tools, to get the message out, to build awareness, to build a sphere of influence and to build a customer and distributor centered loyalty program. Very few people, even entrepreneurs have all the skill sets to achieve this. However, automated marketing, email auto responders, social broadcasters, coop advertising, blogging platforms, materials and videos are necessary tools for the entrepreneur. When you do not supply these types of tools in a controlled environment, the message being broadcasted may not meet the criteria of the company nor abide by regulations.

There are solutions and Markethive is one of the best options. Markethive supplies all of these tools and more, integrated and easily configured and controlled within the communities vertical structures built for DSA companies like yours. It is called the company Directories and within a company portal in Markethive, your distributors will find all they need; Broadcasting platforms, self-replicating personalized PDF documents, Coop advertising systems, blogging platforms, email auto responders, everything needed for marketing, in one place.

9. Training and videos

I do not mean motivational speakers and cheer leading. I mean, real world training how to build the businesses. Daily classes offered by competent experienced teachers, so the distributors develop a strong understanding, expanding their customer territory and acquisition and operate like a real business.

Summary;

With the accelerated market place awash in innovation and technology, technology that puts the human element right into the center of the equation, you can understand why you see the MLM industry sluggish and many companies dying on the vine and others falling flat on their faces with their much heralded launches. Entrepreneurs (distributors) that once upon a time, a flashy video, a charming pitch man, and a compelling comp plan, worked to explode the next greatest MLM launch.

Not today.

It is only a matter of time a young bold, innovative entrepreneur launches the first true customer centric MLM similar to the framework I have discussed here. And when they do, the world will quake, the swamps will empty and the first multi trillion MLM enterprise will rise to srtand head to toe with the great innovations today like Facebook Google, PayPal etc.

Success – What’s Keeping You Back?

What are some of the things that hold you back from succeeding?  Could it be the time factor? Or perhaps it’s that you don’t have the necessary financial resources.   Maybe it’s your personality . . . you set up barriers to success even before starting something by thinking it’s not in your nature or you don’t know what to say or do.   Perhaps you’re not technically savvy!

Think about it!    If you had the opportunity today,  to make a huge difference in your life tomorrow or even in the coming months, what would it be worth to you?  How much effort would you be willing to put into it?   How much time would you devote to this effort?

In today’s hustle and bustle world, with economic uncertainty all around, wouldn’t  it be nice to have more time to devote to family and the things in life you truly enjoy? If you were financially secure, wouldn’t that make life so much more enjoyable?

What if there was something that you could do about it?   Would you follow through?  If push comes to shove, could you overcome your objections and leap over the barriers holding you back from success?   How motivated are you to change your situation?

In order to have success, you must know, choose and be who you are.  In other words, success is finding who you really are, your core values, then consciously choosing which of these things you want to keep and which you will change or discard.   Then let that “you” be present all the time, every day, in all that you do.

The habits you form go hand in hand with success.  It’s essential that you form habits that align with your values for you to be successful in whatever area of your life you wish.

Have you assessed the areas that might be holding you back?

Here is a list of potential areas that might be holding you back:

  • Waiting for the right moment  — this could be disguised as procrastination or even fear.  There never really is the right moment so it’s pretty much a waste of time to wait for one.  If you are living true to your values, every moment should be acted on within the best of your interests.  Be aware and take the opportunity and run with it.
  • Needing approval from others – If you understand you are responsible for everything past and present in your life, you will understand that you will be responsible for your future.  Taking action and having faith in your own decisions will make you a leader, and you will not need the opinion or approval of others.
  • Perfectionism —  The need to always be perfect is almost a form of self-harm as it will never happen because perfection does not exist.  If you think about it, when is anything ever perfect?   It will be much better to be happy and proud of the achievements that are already made, rather than be unhappy when there is always “something else to do”.
  • Not apologizing for making mistakes – Admitting when things go wrong is something we are not too comfortable with.  The people that you have the best connection with and value the most are ones who are open and honest with you.  People respect honesty.  If you want to be respected, in business and in life, learn that apologizing for your mistakes is imperative.
  • Too stubborn to let go – Nothing lasts forever.  Ideas come and go, so will good people, employees, partners, business associates.  Learning to let go will allow you move on.  You need to find a way to allow things to leave your universe as easy as they came in.  It is helpful not to create an emotional attachment to things as they will become harder to let go.  You will make way for the new when you lose the emotion and lose the stubbornness. Know that whatever you are holding on to does not define you so no need to cling to it.
  • Not willing to do something beyond your duties –  As the saying goes “you get out what you put in”, a little more effort goes a long way.  The super successful do not sit around reveling in their accomplishments.  They are thinking of how they can do more and continue to excel.  Step out of your comfort zone and try something you don’t usually do.  It may just become addictive!
  • Comparing yourself to others – Looking at others and measuring whether you have achieved what they have achieved, or comparing what you own to what they own is unnecessary.  Success is a personal matter so find what’s important to you, what success looks and feels like to you, and be in control of that feeling.
  • Not assessing your mistakes – we all make mistakes.  However, if you repeatedly make the same ones over and over, then it’s time to assess.  Ask yourself honest questions.  Why the mistakes are happening and why you didn’t act differently from the last time.  This assessment will help you find better solutions in the future.
  • Spending too long worrying about the outcome – we all worry from time to time.  If you let worry take over, this will hinder your success.   Realize there is only so much that you can control and many things are out of your control.   Continue putting in hard work, relax, and what will be, will be.
  • Not working on your  weaknesses – We all have weaknesses and it’s a good thing because, for every weakness, you have a strong area.  Identify your weak areas and then spend a bit of time daily to work on improvement in these areas.
  • Taking life too seriously – We have a lot more on our agendas as adults compared to when we were kids.  Life can get you down, but when you feel that way, remember how wonderful life is and think about all the great people and great moments that have helped to bring you to where you are today.  Set a goal for yourself.     “At work, I’ll always stay focused and think of what to improve.”

Your success is important, but you have full control of making it what you wish.

Markethive Affiliate Program Update

The Markethive Affiliate program is inspired by a similar program that Paypal used to expand the membership and develop recognition of their brand and their service. Starting out with just 20 people, their affiliate program started out and maintained a 7% growth daily. Which equates to doubling the membership base every 2 weeks. This is why we are building a similar program.

The Be The Alpha affiliate program for Markethive members illustrated:

Unlike Paypal, we do not have large venture capital, therefore we have decided to be generous in our affiliate commissions to inspire exponential growth. Our affiliate program pays up to 50% to qualified members from all of their front line advertising revenues. Advertising revenues come from banner ads, profile page upgrades, calendar promotions and news feed boosts. Additional revenues can be expected during the life of the company from technology expansions like the current revelation of integrated conference rooms.

We are mixing the affiliate program into an entrepreneur training and development process called the Be The Alpha program and the structural layout works like this.

The Be The Alpha affiliate program uses the parent | child terminology to define the relationship that develops when a new member registers via the Alpha Profile page.

Like software, we refer to the owner of the profile page when their profile page is upgraded to capture new Markethive memberships, as "parent" and the new members that sign up into the parents profile capture page as "children". This terminology lends itself to our description because the "parents" as mentors to their "children" inherit a certain responsibility to take a level of responsibility to assist their children to grow into competent parents themselves.

The program evolves or ascends from each level to a higher action. The first level, Trailblazer. is designed to give the new member 30 days rest from the constant default to the Alpha Promotion page found in the Home section of the platform. After 30 days that page will again begin to play the promotional video to upgrade your system every time the member logs in or navigates the home section where the News Feed is. We certainly do not want to annoy our members, however, we would like to keep them gently aware of the benefits awaiting them by upgrading.

In the same notion, new members are connected to a Parent, A Parent is an upgraded paid member ,as upgraded members only receive new membership registrations. And as the parent rises in rank and growth, there integration to their children increases and their schooling becoming greater and more responsible entrepreneurs grows. So here is the theory in a nutshell, when it comes to building responsible, effective proven ethical entrepreneurial leadership:

Be The Alpha” Entrepreneur program.

The very being and wanting to become an entrepreneur is a journey that begins in the heart and the soul. What is an entrepreneur and how do we know if we have what is called a calling? Defining exactly what an entrepreneur is, sometimes, it is easier to define what an entrepreneur is not.

What is not an Entrepreneur?

An Entrepreneur does not spam.  An Entrepreneur does not engage into a business opportunity just to make money or just to make a living. Entrepreneurs are not capitalist in that they do not exploit others or resources just to get rich. They do not lie, cheat and steal to get ahead or to just make a profit.

Time for a PSA (Public Service Announcement)
“Do not get me wrong here.  Capitalism as a political system versus socialism, communism, oligarchies, monarchies, dictatorships, etc. is a superior system. Capitalism as an economic system allows an open system made for free enterprise and it is in such a system Entrepreneurs flourish. However, being the very nature of Entrepreneurs, we can flourish in the darkest of times and it is the Entrepreneurs that push towards the light in all things such as they are.”

The characteristics of an Entrepreneur:

Entrepreneurs are leaders, "not managers". Innovators and visionaries with an endless supply of enthusiasm and connected to a resource of inner knowledge and ideas. Many potential entrepreneurs are inhibited and in bondage to the consistent worldly messages to conform, to get the job, become a cog, get a college education, go into debt and comply to the authoritative message.

Competent entrepreneurs walk in front and show others the way. They take on the hard to do, they lift the heavy obstacles, and like the Marines, are always first in and last out. Tom Sawyer is the proverbial entrepreneur, showing the crowd a master piece in the process of painting the fence faster and better than the crowd who gathered to watch.  It is awe that makes the crowd members pick up a brush and join in and inspired by Tom they stay involved through the entire process and keep recruiting others.

Entrepreneurs never take short cuts. They stand firm on ethics and imbibe a level of integrity others are attracted to and recognize. Entrepreneurs are natural born leaders. They don’t stop for nearly as many breaks or gather around and watch others. Entrepreneurs always hoe to the end of the row, even in heat, rain, storm or even when supper is calling.

Entrepreneurs rarely get fired. But they often get fired up. They will quit any job that asks them to do something they don’t believe in. But they will work at any job if the reason is strong enough or they have given their word.

Entrepreneurs are shepherds with a staff who call out with their voice, not sheep herders that ride horses with lots of smart dogs that nip at your heals.

Entrepreneurs know you need to be both a leader and a manager… in that order. They always start with a leader, and then find a manager.

They know a great leader is the ultimate solution to any problem. They pay ten to a thousand times more money for a great leader than a great manager… in a heartbeat.

Entrepreneurs begin to sing out when the song begins, because they know the other voices will soon blend in and hide the fact they are slightly off key.

Entrepreneurs seek out the one lagging beyond, find what makes them tick, then challenge them to keep up and to keep time.

This is what the “Be The Alpha” program is all about.

So you want success, you want to be entrepreneurial; you want to engage your dreams, be a leader and develop the skills to make this a reality. This is why we have developed this system.

You are attracted to the Markethive and decide to sign up. You are attracted to the movement, a vision bigger than you, a mission to change the world. We all know that the spirit of entrepreneurialism is dying in America.

For the first time in America, new business starts are dropping despite the fact the population among those in ages between 25-55 historically the prime years for starting business is growing. Even more alarming is the rate of business formation has slowed, the pace of business closures, which had held steady over the previous decade, started to ascend in 2005 and spiked in 2008, according to data compiled by the Brookings Institute. Consequently, business deaths now outpace business births for the first time since researchers started collecting the data in the late 1970’s.

Read the article here

Therefore, the advancement, the expansion and the support of a growing base of Entrepreneurs almost takes on a religious zealousness here at Markethive.

Therefore the way we are developing our affiliate program. It has several aspects as to the why we are doing this. Primarily to drive our growth in revenues so we can reinvest back into the system as well as the mission, but even more important to start building a growing army of motivated, empowered competent entrepreneurs.

The Markethive system offers a portfolio of incredible, proprietary marketing systems that elsewhere would cost upwards of thousands of dollars a month. We are making it for free, for everyone, for life.  Our source of revenue is the advertisement, not monthly membership subscriptions or any MLM type of “hope and dreams” mentality.

The new subscriber is immediately introduced to the “Be The Alpha” program where entry is free and by entering, the constant default to the Alpha Promotion video is halted for 30 days. After 30 days it will begin its annoying constant playing again, reminding the active member to make a choice again.

That beginning entry is simply called Trailblazer. This is the new member's first intro to the process of becoming entrepreneurial in character, word and deed. This process will become more sophisticated as we go. The level will be alerted to the “parent”, it will be noted on the members profile, there level and a small icon will be associated next to or on their profile picture where ever that picture appears.

It should be expected that the “parent” would take interest in their children growing and making sure the child begin watching the motivational videos, attend the many weekly motivational orientations and groups, to begin the engagement into the culture of the Entrepreneur @ Markethive, so to speak.

Once this journey begins, the system, the mentoring, the motivational orientations, the “parent” and the company will gently persuade the Trailblazer to upgrade to Voyager.

Voyager is no different than any other advertising program in Markethive, other than it actually delivers greater value. The entry level monthly fee of $25 per month, as all of our Alpha affiliate programs, always provide an equal or greater result in ad credits. As well, the Voyager platform gives the membership a Profile (capture) page, so all traffic sent to the members profile page, should a registration occur, that prospect is locked in as the “child” to the Voyager, that prospect becomes the Voyagers lead and that prospect also receives the Voyagers autoresponders and entered into the group of choice in the Profile page configuration. Voyagers do not receive advertising commissions; rather they are concentrated on building a database of “children”. As the population of children grow, with mentoring from the Markethive culture, support from the parent to the Voyager and realization that this group of children are starting to rise in the ranks from Trailblazer, to Voyagers themselves, the next step is simply to understand and the next logical action in the learning curve of the evolution of the developing entrepreneur is upgrading to Navigator.

Navigator is not really much different than Voyager, other than you progress to gathering even more advertising credits and start receiving commissions from your “children’s” advertising purchase’s.  The monthly cost doubles from $25 per month to $50 per month.  However the monthly ad credits quadruples. In other words, your $50 per month contribution earns you $100 in ad credits. But it also opens up to start receiving 25% commissions on all your children’s money transactions within Markethive. All transactions, because all transactions are only for advertising in Markethive, everything else has no cost to it now or ever. Even conference rooms (we just developed our own working code for those) will be totally free. They will have limits on number of seats until you sponsor ads in them. And the more ads you sponsor into the conference rooms, the larger rooms you get, as your organization of children grow and they become more sophisticated as growing entrepreneurs, the greater the incentive you have to upgrade. And upgraded levels also create greater ad credits that can be used to increase your business exposures, larger ad campaigns, and greater financial security. This in turn helps you redirect your priorities and focus, moving you further into the realm of becoming an Alpha Entrepreneur and the next step, becoming an Alpha Commander. Definition: “A great leader who has nurtured his team should be able to withdraw his presence and return to find his well-oiled machine maintaining the same momentum as before he left. A great commander is judged by his absence. A great business leader creates a system, a culture and a structure capable of growing even without his day to day involvement”.

Commander starts looking forward into the system, knowing his organization of children are now driving along from the foundations laid by the commander’s actions and the support culture that is genetic in Markethive. The monthly fee now doubles again ($100 per month), but triples the amount of advertising credits ($300 per month) and pays 40% commissions on all children's purchases. By now the Commander is starting to incorporate advertising as well as a firm command with the “Campaigns” section (the most sophisticated tool set in Markethive).

A great commander is judged in his absence.
What many entrepreneurs fail to recognize is that leadership is not so much about the leader – but more so about the ones who are being led. The key to great leadership is not to teach others to become reliant on your guidance – but rather guide others towards self-sufficiency.  A great leader who has nurtured his team should be able to withdraw his presence and return to find his well-oiled machine maintaining the same momentum as before he left. A great commander is judged by his absence. A great business leader creates a system, a culture and a structure capable of growing even without his day to day involvement.
Faisel Butt

Removing yourself from the workplace in order to see the big picture is a vital part of ensuring everything is working correctly.  A painter will spend days working away on detailed scenes on his artistic canvas.  But to fully see the effectiveness of his efforts he must take a few steps back and judge the work in its entirety.

Like the painter, this constant waltz between micro and macro is the state of mind the modern entrepreneur must adopt in our fast changing world. The creation of new projects and ideas is an artistic process that cannot be undertaken while you remain submerged in the chaos of the trenches. Hands-on management helps you with the day-to-day running – but who is orchestrating the business’s next stage of evolution?  Founders and business leaders, however, cannot simply be strategists – they need to have that unique ability to swiftly "deep dive" into the trenches when required but then elevate back up to the "aerial view" to strategically navigate the way forward.  A great entrepreneur must have the vision and reflectiveness of an artist but the agility and versatility of a military commander.  That's probably why they are such a rare breed.

The Commander’s level starts to fill in the gaps of becoming an Alpha Entrepreneur and the Commander starts to see the massive benefits taking the next quantum step to Alpha Odyssey. After all, the Entrepreneur can leave for a time and his/her team and return to a well-oiled enterprise.

Odyssey, what a strange term yet, conveys the final stretch to your great adventure.  You are learning to accept the fate of your quests. As Tyler Perry says, " All you can do is plant your seed in the ground, water it … and believe’ – that and the Grace of God is the key to success " As you have moved forward in the “Hive” surrounded by your peers and mentors, you have learned that 100% focus works. To never stop believing in your mission, to have 100% dedicated conviction towards your dreams. You are discovering, nothing is impossible with faith.

You are now Alpha Odyssey, your $2000 contribution for a full year of service immediately pays back instant dividends with $4000 in ad credits and another $300 per month for the full year equaling a massive $7,600 plus you are now in the upper echelon of entrepreneurial leadership and can be expected to be invited to host Markethive conferences and mentoring sessions. You are now at the top of the commissions receiving 50% of all revenue generated by your children. By this time you can expect to be leading a significant organization of children who are looking to you as a leader and mentor in that sphere of internet. Now you have options. Build a networked business, develop a crowd founding organization. Create a powerful social and seo network. You have become an Alpha Entrepreneur.

The Alpha Entrepreneur: Alpha Entrepreneur is the premium position in Markethive and share in the 5% of the revenue pool. Your $5000 contribution gets you $10,000 in ad revenue as well as $200 per month towards ad revenue. You also receive 50% of all your children’s ad purchases and a share of 5% of the company’s revenue pool. This is for the life of the company. Become the elite Alpha Entrepreneur. Alpha Founder.

1. Multiple BLOG accounts (platforms)

That has been specifically created to include powerfully effective sales psychology built into them. This will ensure you convert visitors to your site into PAYING customers at the highest levels.

This multiple blog capability can also create additional unique content to spread further into the Internet. With Groups your reach expands exponentially.

Individual friends and groups can be combined to create unique content that can easily be published to your WordPress, Joomla, blogger.com, etc. blogs with Markethive Widgets and Plug Ins.

With a group of 100 members, aside from the massive shared content, with a Group membership of 100 where we will assume each member has about 5000 social net friends and contacts in their respective Social accounts like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Google+.

These are huge numbers as we estimate just the Social reach of 500,000 add to that each members back links via their social networks but assuming each member has 2-3 WordPress blogs the legitimate white hat back links occurring also reach astronomical numbers.

Now add to that a small coop to publish a real paid for Press release and you start to understand the startling advantage Markethive has just regarding Markethive’s blog platform and link manifestation.

2. Built in “Viral Broadcasting”

Other members of Markethive have the option to “follow” your blog(s) and options as to how. They can choose to be alerted in the social network alerts in their Markethive Dashboard

They can choose to have your post published to their Markethive News Feed.

They can choose to have your new posts broadcasted to their Facebook news feed(s) both their personal feed or their many Facebook pages.

They can choose to have your posts broadcasted to their Twitter feed.

They can choose to have your post published to their share an update on their LinkedIn account

They can choose to have your post broadcasted to their Markethive Blog (Groups or Personal)

This guarantees you get the most exposure from every post you make, and compels readers to quickly share your content with ease and excitement. This means even MORE traffic to your blog, and MORE potential for sales or exposure.

3. Advanced “Viral Commenting” System

Your blog comments will show up in real time and inspire even more “digital” conversations on your site. Remember, rave reviews, lively comments, and more helpful content are what people crave on your blog. There is NOTHING more powerful than the “social proof” coming from other people commenting on your blog, and we’ll help you to easily get LOTS of it every time you post.

Combined with the commenting system is the broadcasting ability as well. When commenting, you can also choose the option for your comment to push to your Markethive Newsfeed, Facebook, Twitter and LinkediN, includes the link back to your profile page and the blog.

4.SEO Tool

Keyword management for better search engine results.
Research and analysis tracking allows for continuous improvement.

When it comes to search engine optimization (SEO) campaigns, choosing the right keywords is the most important step. Selecting the wrong keywords will lead to bad results so it pays to learn how to perform a strategic keyword analysis so you pick the right ones. Generally speaking your goal is to identify keywords with:

A) The highest search volume possible.

B) The lowest competition.

C) Those that accurately relate to your business.

High search volumes and high competition often go together (but not always… look for sweet spots!) Typically you’re looking for low competition keywords that still have good search volumes. So long as the keyword relates to the content on your website your “bounce rate” will be low and the traffic will stick.

The Keyword Analysis tool is designed to help you keep track of your research results as you perform your strategic analysis. There are a variety of external tools and systems that are helpful in evaluating keywords, however the statistics tracked by this system are found using Alexa and the Google Keyword Planner.

This will multiply how many people actually FIND your blog! (Marketers pay from hundreds, to thousands of dollars every month for this service—you get it for FREE!)

Peace of Mind For You!

You’ll never have to worry about installing anything, setting anything up, or “customizing” anything, unless you want to add your own header and company logo to your blog. We’ll handle all of the rest for you! Our skilled programmers work around the clock to ensure your blog is always viewable and available for your customers.

5. WordPress Plugins by Markethive

When we set out to build Markethive, we recognized WordPress to be the world leader in Blogging platforms. We will never dispute that nor attempt to overcome or replace WordPress.

Our goal is to make WordPress better with our blogging platform and CMS enhancements. Case in point is our WordPress (Markethive) plugin(s). We have several but this plugin is designed to import and manage your content you produce on Markethive into your one or multiple WordPress blog(s). Without Markethive, to manage a (blog cloud) portfolio of many WordPress on multiple domains with unique content on each of them for different agendas and markets, especially with a moderate to large team of content producers becomes a literal nightmare.

Why WordPress Is The Best Website Platform

There are many different ways of creating a website, you can purchase industry standard software like Dreamweaver and take courses to understand how to use it, or you can use content management software such as WordPress that allows you to quickly and easily get a website live within minutes. This is one of the many reasons why WordPress is the best website platform for beginners and professionals alike.

With WordPress, you are getting a system that takes minutes to install on your server, and then access to thousands of free and paid themes. Your website will look professional from the moment you start. Furthermore, there’s a wide range of plugins and widgets that can easily be applied to the site to make it more user friendly and interactive.

And the only skills you need are the ability to write, click the mouse button and add this stuff in. It really is easy to add content, it’s just like posting on a forum really, and has a very low learning curve. But, because of its flexibility, you can be as basic or advanced as you feel, and as you grow to learn more about it, so to will your site grow and utilize new concepts and designs being created for WordPress.

Here’s some other great aspects about the WordPress system:

WordPress is Open Source:

This means it is free, other people can easily create themes, plugins and so on for you to use with it, and it is completely flexible.

WordPress is Quick to Setup:

This means you can focus on having several websites and easily be able to maintain them all without having to create them all from scratch. This is particularly useful if you are getting into internet marketing for example. You can have many websites set up for different products you are selling.

WordPress Gives Multi User Functionality:

Are you a small business or organization that requires more than one person to add content to the site? Again, WordPress can help. It enables the site owner to set up users for them to post to the site. What’s more, certain privileges can be applied to these users so they only have access to posting content, and therefore not be able to mess around with the functional side of the site.

Website and Blog All-in-One:

Although WordPress is set up more as a blogging platform, it is still very easy to configure it to be a standalone site, with a blog attached. There are many plugins which make this even easier to do, and so any small business or organization can have a website and blog created in a couple of hours that looks great, and is ready to go.

Backing Up and Security:

WordPress is very easy to back up, and there are many secure plugins to choose from to make it more secure than it already is.

These are just a few of the most important reasons why WordPress is the best website platform, but there are many more. It’s major advantages are the low learning curve, and speed of having a site up and running. If you are a person who needs a website, but has little time and money to set one up, then WordPress is your friend. It’s a fantastic system used by millions of people across the globe.

6. MH Blog Swipe

Markethive blog system allows you to make your content available to the entire public population within Markethive, or Just to your friends or just to members in all the Groups you belong or a selection of them or just one (your choice) or private so no one can Swipe your blog.

Why? There are many sound reasons for this.

  • Curating: Content curation is the process of sorting through the vast amounts of content on the web and presenting it in a meaningful and organized way around a specific theme. The work involves sifting, sorting, arranging, and publishing information. Markethive offers features to it’s groups you create. Groups are platforms for blogging.Simple set up a Curating Group for yourself and Swipe the blogs in Markethive as a collection of content you may want to use in your publications.
  • Proofing: You may have a group of members that want to edit and rewrite your content. Trust me,this is an active phenomena in Markethive. Produce a blog and you will get many critiques so I just offer to them to swipe it, edit and change it as they see fit then let me know. If I like it, I swipe it back. Another option is to actually have a proof reader on staff and do the same procedure.
  • Cocktails: With Markethive’s ability (feature) to create unlimited Groups each with a different cocktail of content curated, aggregated or from multiple Group memberships, the options to produce unique content for unlimited WordPress blogs controlled from within Markethive is unlimited.
  • Then there is the learning curve. I have personally mentored newbie bloggers who just couldn’t or wouldn’t take the first step. In many a live webinar, I would quickly assemble a viable blog article, the instruct the students to Swipe my blog post, then in the webinar they would edit, alter, upload and download images, creating an altered blog result of their own.I have witnessed new bloggers after this type of training go from poorly and rarely produced blog posts, to 1-2 dynamic and excellent on topic blog posts daily. In other words, Markethive is now churning out a new breed of excellent and dynamic bloggers.

Website Widget

The widget can appear on your blogs, sites, social networks to promote a simple easy registration into the Markethive via your account, by passing your Profile page. Sets off your selection of autoresponders via the Authorized email of record, totally avoiding spam.

Markethive Blog platform

Markethive’s Inbound Marketing platform delivers a blogging system built for the beginner, sophisticated for the intermediate and an extremely powerful platform that advanced professional bloggers will appreciate. The system is designed for the easy development of a complete blog system, yet advanced and easily set up to be the engine that powers your WordPress blogs. The email system also creates subscribe accounts for your blogs and capture pages and simplifies the email notifications of a new blog publication via email, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Goggle+ and Markethive news feeds.

Easily grow your social reach into the millions! It’s that Powerful, It’s that  Simple, That’s Markethive.

Dominate with Inbound Marketing

Entrepreneurs always work hard to create an innovative product or service, but often count on standard seller marketing for sales. But the reality is that sellers are no longer in charge of the customer buying process. Recent reports suggest that 90% of today’s shoppers skip marketing pitches, to research online before they buy, and over 50% check user reviews before making a decision.

Markethive is the first and only social network integrated with a powerful intuitive inbound marketing (automated marketing) platform. Built for the entrepreneur, small business, and network marketers. Markethive is totally free and generates it’s revenue through advertising like Facebook and Linkedin. Markethive even returns up to half the advertising revenue back to the subscribers that join the affiliate program.

If tools like email auto responders (better than Aweber), blog platforms (makes WordPress even better), press release co-ops (Real PR.org professional releases) capture page widgets (plug ins for WordPress, simpleleadcapture.com,etc., plugins and pages, broadcasting tools (like Hootsuit), live conference rooms (like GoToMeeting), traffic portals (like Veretekk had) and additional arrays of powerful tools, workshops and mentoring webinars, interest you, then you need this platform!

WordPress meets Markethive

WordPress meets Markethive

At one point the decision or revelation became the foundation of the Markethive blogging system. Markethive would make WordPress better.

Let me explain. At one time we considered creating a blog software solution, (Blog Press) with templates that would compete with WordPress. I know, stupid. But at the time, there were many who thought it was a good idea.

The argument went like this, “Joomla, Drupal, Blogger, Typepad, etc.” offer others options so we should too. OK, I said, but then the list of competitors grew from WordPress to a much larger list, and not only did it make us another “ME TOO” company instead of an innovative cutting edge customer centric juggernaut.

I made the decision to “not” jump in as yet another standalone (CMS) blog platform like Word Press, but rather to create a powerful system to make Word Press and other CMS far more manageable, with the goal to make them better. Particularly functioning on making the world heavy weight Word Press even better by enhancing the WP platform with a supporting blog platform so multiple content could be constructed with partner contributors, so we could build a Broadcasting system utilizing literaly millions of members social networks, so we could build massive WordPress sites by many members in collaboration producing powerful SEO campaigns.

The whole idea has manifested as one of the most powerful blog collaboration Inbound Marketing systems ever devised, and that is Markethive.

Our roll being to fuse a powerful vertical targeted social network of Entrepreneurs, thereby making the Word Press and other CMS system powerful by the very spirit of the Rise of the Entrepreneur!

The following lists have become our goal to support the top contenders with plugins, widgets and collaborative power and function.

But the video tells it all.

Choosing blogging software can be a scary process, especially if you are new to blogging. There are many different types of engines and content management systems (CMS) that could be used. Picking the software that you’ll need is not an easy task, given the wide variety and types on the Web today.

There are many different aspects to consider when choosing which blogging software to pick. For instance:

Programming language.

Many blog platforms run on either PHP or Rails, but you can find just about any flavor of programming language you are looking for.

What features you’ll need.

The type of software you might choose is very dependent on the type of blog you are going to run. Some blog software is geared more towards new users, while others are more developer and designer-friendly. It’s a matter of finding software based on the features you need.

The size of the software’s community.

If the software community is larger for one blogging system and much smaller and less active than another, the more active community is usually a better choice for software. More active users within the development community means more improvements on the code base, in a faster time frame.

The age of the software.

The age of the software shows the maturity of the blogging platform. Young projects are more unstable, and are more likely to have bugs.

If you are planning on extending the blog.

If you are thinking about adding things like forums, a store, or some other feature to your blog, some blogging software will be more suited to fill that need than others.

The blog software that you choose can have a big impact on your blogging. It’s important to choose the right software in the very beginning, so you can avoid the hassle of migrating to different engine later on. Here are the pros and cons of the 10 most popular blogging systems.

Here is the list of the top 10 blogging CMS solutions:

1.Wordpress
Alexa Rank (276)-45

WordPress is the most famous and widely-used blogging platform. It features a very intuitive web-based installer so anyone from skill level novice to expert can quickly install the software without any hiccups.

The WordPress community is a major asset to the blogging software. It has one of the largest and most passionate communities of developers and users, so one could find just about any theme or plugin imaginable. The possibilities for extending the software are endless, and many web sites and services have used the WordPress code base to build entirely different applications. WordPress also features integration with Akismet, one of the most effective spam protection systems for blogging software.

WordPress makes it easy for new bloggers to not only install the software, but also to download and install automatic upgrades to plugins with only one click. The learning curve for WordPress is fairly minimal, and if a new user runs in to problems, they can always check the extensive documentation. WordPress is perfect for the new blogger who wants to get his feet wet installing their first blog software, or the advanced developer who’s looking to extend the stable code into something entirely different.

If you are wanting to start a multiple-blog site, you can also check out WordPress MU. WordPress MU is the same code base as the mature WordPress single blog code base, with some added functionality.

2. Drupal
Alexa Rank  (2,497)-17

Drupal isn’t your typical blogging software. While it has an incredible community behind the code and many blogs use it for blogging software, it’s not just blogging software. Drupal is community software.

Drupal really shines as blog software for a blogging community. Performancing is a great example of using Drupal as a community of blogs. Whether you are wanting to power one blog to a 100, Drupal is an excellent choice.

Another strong point about Drupal is the versatility of the software. It comes packaged with a robust user system, but also a lot of community-friendly features like forums, books (for creating documents in a “book” structure) and a tracker which allows you to follow updates and content that other users have published recently.

Drupal also comes with a large community of developers and modules. With these modules, one could build any type of site or add nearly any sort of functionality to their Drupal installation. Many top-notch sites use Drupal to publish their multiple blogs and user communities. Performancing, Spread Firefox, The Onion, and Ubuntu and others.

Drupal is the perfect blogging software for anyone wanting to add a community to their blog with forums and extensions.

3. Joomla
Alexa Rank (2,689)-570

Joomla is a CMS that is similar to the community-friendly Drupal, and gaining traction every day. While Drupal is geared more towards developing community-flavored sites and blogs, Joomla seems to be geared more towards ecommerce (you can read more about the comparison between Joomla and Drupal here).

Regardless of their differences, Joomla is very much like Drupal in the fact that it’s easy to get anything from a simple site to a community blog in minutes. Joomla has a vibrant development community which has created many extensions.

Joomla is perfect for anyone wanting to build a blogging community site, or add ecommerce functionality to a blog.

4. ExpressionEngine
Alexa Rank (12,422)-2,466

ExpressionEngine is a very robust blogging platform, but isn’t free. The best feature about ExpressionEngine is the feature to publish multiple websites, either using different subdomains on a single domain, or across multiple domains.

You could use one code base to power multiple sites across multiple domains. The software features an extremely clean and simple backend that shouldn’t confuse the blogger. Designers and developers love ExpressionEngine for the fact that it’s quite easy to hand over a site and have the client update his own blog. It’s a solid all-in-one package.

ExpressionEngine is really geared for people who are trying to start a multi-blog site, but anyone can use the software quite easily thanks to its thoughtful and elegant design. A single license costs $99.95, but if you’re running a personal blog you can download the core version of EE.

5. Liferay

Liferay Portal is a free and open source enterprise portal written in Java and distributed under the GNU Lesser General Public License. It allows users to set up features common to websites. The reasons to use Liferay Portal for your website are simple: it provides a robust platform to serve your site to all clients, be they desktop, mobile, or anything in between; it provides all the standard applications you need to run on your site; and it provides an easy to use development framework for new applications or customization. In addition to this, Liferay Portal is developed using an open source methodology, by people from around the world. The code base is solid, and has been proved to be reliable and stable in mission critical deployments in diverse industries.

8. concrete5
Alexa Rank (33,631)-292

Concrete5 is an open source CMS started in 2003 as a rapid-design approach to building the now-defunct LewisAndClark200.org, the official site for the Ad Council’s National Council for the Lewis & Clark Bicentennial. Concrete5 is developed in PHP and is distributed under MIT software license.

Concrete5 features in-context editing (the ability to edit website content directly on the page, rather than in an administrative interface or using web editor software). Editable areas are defined in concrete5 templates which allow editors to insert ‘blocks’ of content. These can contain simple content (text and images) or have more complex functionality, for example image slideshows, comments systems, lists of files, maps etc. Further addons can be installed from the concrete5 Marketplace to extend the range of blocks available for insertion. Websites running concrete5 can be connected to the concrete5 website, allowing automatic upgrading of the core software and of any addons downloaded or purchased from the Marketplace.

9. Typo3
Alexa Rank (36,110)-8,334

TYPO3 is a free and open source CMS released under the GNU General Public License oriented to small to mid size enterprise-class users. TemplaVoila is an alternative template engine extension for TYPO3. A graphical mapping tool for creating templates is included, an alternative page module, the ability to create flexible content elements and an API for developers. New content element types can be created without programming. TemplaVoila facilitates more flexibility for maintaining web pages than TYPO3’s standard templating, while making it possible to enforce a strict corporate design and allowing editors to work with content more intuitively.

Delivered with a base set of interfaces, functions and modules, TYPO3’s functionality spectrum is implemented by extensions. More than 5000 extensions are currently available for TYPO3 for download under the GNU General Public License from a repository called the TYPO3 Extension Repository, or TER.

TYPO3 can run on most HTTP servers such as Apache or IIS on top of Linux, Microsoft Windows or Mac OS X. It uses PHP 5.3 or newer and any relational database supported by the TYPO3 DBAL including MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and others. Some 3rd-party extensions – not using the database API – support MySQL as the only database engine. The system can be run on any web server with a modern CPU and at least 256 MB RAM. The backend can be displayed in any modern browser with JavaScript. There is no browser restriction for displaying user-oriented content generated by TYPO3.

11. b2evolution
Alexa  Rank (80,628)-14,427

The software features a very easy-to-understand backend, ideal for beginners. b2 also has has a built in stats feature, which is something most blogging platforms don’t have out of the box. The software also features a post editor with a very minimal WYSIWYG editor, which is perfect for a beginning blogger.

While the b2 developer community may not be very large, it has a very promising code base and many people still use b2evolution to power their blogs and blogger communities.

Content is King

Content is King

Writing is a dream job, but it is not for everyone.  While there are some writers hired to write product descriptions for catalogs, there are others that turn out to be J.K. Rowling. Unfortunately, most writers have a better chance of writing product descriptions than they do of becoming best-selling authors.

There is more quantity on the internet than anyone could read in a millennium, but there will always be a place for good quality, timeless content.   Writing is one of those things just like meditation or exercise, and it’s easy to stop after you’ve seen the benefits of it.  Just like you begin to take your health for granted; you forget that the reason that you have good health is because of the practices you had!  With writing, it’s the same.

Plain writing is best.  Short paragraphs, short sentences, and easy words are the most readable. So don't try to win any writing awards. Digital content is not what you learned to write in English class. Shorter and simpler are your mantras for better readability.

Ideally, great content will win over time. The reality is that if you create great content – and it gets no attention, then it won’t gain much in the way of ranking.  "Ideation" is a marketing industry buzzword that describes the creative process of finding a subject, title, and angle to write about; and ideation begins with analytics.

I consider my blog to be MY place and voice. Even if nobody reads this material, it helps you to internalize the message so that it stays relevant for your own life. It’s almost like accountable journaling in a way. You are accountable to anyone who does read it while you are journaling your thoughts and feelings.

Copywriting agencies combine copywriting services with a range of editorial and associated services, that may include brand positioning, message consulting, social media, SEO consulting, developmental and copy editing, proofreading, fact checking, layout, content syndication and design. Outsourcing such services allow businesses to focus on core competencies and to benefit from the specialized knowledge of professional copywriters and editors.

The content writer is a hard job to define simply because we have to be so many different things to so many different people, but we all do share a few things in common. Let’s take a look at some of the essential elements that make up a content writer, and examine how those elements would improve the way you interact with your web audience.

A technical blueprint is a step-by-step, visually enhanced article demonstrating exactly how to complete a task. Often the pictures tell the story more than the words do. Designers and programmers use this style of a blog post to show how they code a website, design an image using Photoshop, code software, or simpler activities like attaching a file to an email.  Consider a technical writing certificate.

Technical writing is a type of content writing that focuses on communicating technical material through manuals, reports, and online documents. This could be a how-to guide, a safety manual for a worksite, or a document on a process or procedure. There is a growing demand for technical writers who can explain complex procedures to the average reader. Most technical writing programs are accelerated and take one to two years to complete. These programs will focus on improving your organizational skills, your project management skills, your ability to create user guides and documents, and your ability to write content for online formats. Check your local college or university for a technical writing certificate program. Look at the faculty of the program to confirm you are being taught by professionals in the field or working content writers who are familiar with the demands of the writing industry. Certificate programs can be beneficial for writers who are new to content writing or technical writing.

Updated SEO knowledge is also critical. Search engine algorithms change constantly, and writers have to keep up. One thing remains constant: High quality is always in demand. If you can write in-depth content from a unique perspective, you'll be in demand.

We are designers. When a content writer puts together a piece for a website, e-zine, blog, or newsletter, he or she doesn’t just have to make sure that the piece is well written, it also has to be nicely formatted and properly displayed on the screen. With the clever and artistic placement of headings and subheadings, the content writer ensures that your copy doesn’t look like an insurmountable wall of text. A good content writer can take your complicated idea and turn it into an easily digestible and accessible piece of copy that pleases your readers, and keeps more eyes on you.

That there is the key!  What you’re targeting, and how you’re targeting. The more you can do, the better you can do it – the better the end result.  Promoting garbage works … but takes a lot of promotion. Promoting quality works … and takes less effort than promoting garbage … but takes a lot of effort to create.  Setup the on-site/technical, create the content, tweak for optimization, promote … and promote again revisit content tweaking … and keep that process going for each new piece. Most people don’t realize that some on-page values increase over time, nor that Google will rank new content based on older contents performance. So over time, you should naturally improve. Add in increasing your reputation and relationships, naturally increasing your exposure/promotion reach/rate … and again, you should naturally rank better over time.

Look for tips on writing and topics that are useful.  Then write and pretend no one will ever read it, and keep on writing.

When Opportunity Knocks!

As Gloria Estefan once stated:    The sad truth is that opportunity doesn’t knock twice. You can put things off until tomorrow but tomorrow may never come. Where will you be a few years down the line. Will it be everything you dreamed of? We seal our fate with the choices we take, but don’t give a second thought to the chances we take.

There is profound advice in the above quote.   Hand write it on a sticky and put it where you will see it often. Or better yet, keep it with you in your smartphone. Study it often. Opportunity abounds.   Always has… always will.  Especially in tough times. But it NEVER knocks twice. In fact, opportunity doesn’t knock at all.   It never makes a sound. Opportunity is something you SEE… something you FEEL… something you SENSE.

Rather than what we’ve been trained to expect, opportunities behave quite differently. You must have powerful lenses with which to see and sense them.  It is impossible to see opportunities surrounding you unless you have sufficient vision. It is impossible to seize these opportunities unless you have sufficient power. The bottom line is that seeing and seizing opportunities requires real power.   Personal power is a choice.

VISION, OPPORTUNITY and SUCCESS are linked, and for most people, just outside their line of sight. So, get more powerful glasses!

Consider the following:

  • Do you have the physical energy to chase down and capture opportunities given to you?
  • Do you have the sense of purpose to actually see opportunities you are presented with?
  • Do you have the team-building synergy to get other people to help you with those opportunities?
  • Do you have the organizational skills necessary to systematically pursue those opportunities… or is your lack of organization holding you back from even getting started?
  • Do you have the action-oriented mindset necessary to move those opportunities beyond theory and into your life?

Are any of the above five areas of performance standing between you and the opportunity?     If so, what will you do to improve it?

Let me close with another quote that resonates with me.

“If a window of opportunity appears, don’t pull down the shade!” — Tom Peters

Effective Article Marketing with These 8 Time Tested Tips!

Effective Article Marketing with These 8 Time Tested Tips!

Will you be ready if opportunity knocks on your doorstep?  Most people would answer this with an emphatic yes, when in fact they are not ready!  In case you have the opportunity to build a web business, ensure that you're always prepared.  Look at tips on article marketing provided here and learn how to completely ready yourself  for the road ahead.

  1. Write your article as if you are sharing information with a good friend that you care about. Visualize them listening to you in addition to asking you questions. Think through the kinds of things they want to learn and put those answers in your article. Explain your ideas comprehensively as if your friend doesn't have familiarity with the topic.
  2. Consider choosing a course to learn how to produce titles.  Article titles are certainly important, maybe more important than the credit given to them.  An article title needs to get the reader engaged or your document will never be read. Creating applications that are short, to the point, in addition to punchy can go a long way when it comes to making your article a prosperous one.
  3. Perhaps the most beautiful aspect of article marketing:  most of the working techniques used by marketers today were actually thought up and implemented by marketers. This means that any great idea you have that goes against the grain could easily become the next best-selling eBook on how to effectively market.
  4. Write guest blog posts. By writing on websites for others in your field, you get access to their readers and prepare them as prospective buyers of your respective products or services. Remember to include a url to your site somewhere in the content so they can visit your site when they'd like. Guest websites also allow you to show oneself as a competent voice inside the field, as well as a skilled article writer.
  5. The most important key to article marketing is that you have original content. Yahoo and Google far prefer posts which have something new to say more than reprints. There are many writing providers who offer cheap article marketing, so compare their costs and find a company which can give you an affordable contract, if you are unable to create your own unique content.
  6. Contact webmasters about your articles. Mention that you simply saw similar articles particular site and that you have some posts they might find useful. Calling other site owners is an active way to get exposure, particularly when they are not advertising for guests bloggers; you'll reach their particular visitors before your competitors.
  7. Be sure that your articles are correct. Articles bring traffic to your web site but inaccurate articles may drive traffic away as opposed to bringing repeat traffic. Devote a few minutes to fact-checking to determine the reliability of your articles. This time will be well-spent as accurate posts are widely shared by way of social networks.
  8. Don't use keywords out of context!  Search engines can locate keywords using context and definition.  Write naturally, using words that relate to your topic and show up on a keyword search.

Now that you've studied a few great tips on article marketing, most likely you are a little more prepared for that task than you were last night.  However, you still have a long way to go.  Start first by mastering these kinds of methods and then continue to increase from there. You should never stop researching article marketing if you want to run a prosperous web business.

One of the biggest questions that is asked about article marketing is just how articles can be used to generate traffic to a website and help promote a business. The thing is, using articles is a double-sided tool, in which you are getting a message out, building a reputation, communicating more, and even directing traffic through today's web-based techniques. Learn more, however, before you dive in, as tips like the ones provided in this article could work wonders for your results.

The more tips you read about article marketing, the better your odds of success will become. Think of the business of marketing like attending school. There's a reason that you go to school for all those many years. There's just a lot to learn out there. The same holds true with marketing. There is a lot you need to know.

Beginners in the arena of article marketing will want to avoid the tendency to build their back-linking networks too fast. Search engines, and Google in particular, have fine-tuned their algorithms to identify sites with highly inflated link activity from month to month. Rather than rising in the Google standings, these sites are penalized for their aggressive activity and drop from sight. Experts suggest that a moderate pace, say 15% growth in inbound links/month will help you grow steadily while keeping you out of trouble.

Focus on just writing the piece and think about what you will use it for later. This will allow you to concentrate solely on the task at hand and not waste time thinking about other things. You will finish your article in a shorter amount of time and can move on to your next task this way.

The reason to publish your articles is different than the reason you write them. There are three reasons you publish your articles: branding, promotion and lead generation. Informing your audience is the only reason you write an article. If you do not focus on informing your audience, then your publishing will be for naught because it will not interest your audience and they won't want to read it.

If you have written a number of articles on a particular topic, consider putting them together into an ebook. You can use that as a bonus to get readers signed up for your email list, or as a bonus offer if you are doing some affiliate work as well.

When you know it is time for a new marketing technique, article marketing is waiting for you to get on board.  The multipurpose strategy works great for all businesses.  Use the tips in this article to begin your learning journey.

Choosing a Home Based Business

Starting a business from home allows you to save money on office overhead — check with the local zoning officials to make sure your home can be used for commercial purposes.   Now that you’ve decided that a home-based business is for you, where do you start? There are so many opportunities for home-based businesses, how do you decide which to choose?

Your first consideration should be if the company has consumable products.   If you sell mattresses, you will need many more customers than if you sell soap or toothpaste.   Pick a company with consumable products so that your customers will be repeat customers.

Your home-based business should be something that you are passionate about and love to do. Find a company with products that you will be using. By using the products , you develop your personal belief system in the products and the company.   As your personal belief system grows, your testimonial about the products and company will be more believable.

Are the products of a good quality and affordable?   The more expensive the products are, the more your market will be limited. Choose products that offer good value and in a price range that the majority of the public can afford.  This will give you the largest possible customer base to draw from.

Consider the start up costs of your home-based business. Also look at the cost of maintaining the business.   Are there quotas to maintain?   The last thing you need is to end up with a lot of stock that you have already paid for and now have to store until it can be sold.

Do your homework!   Before you make your final decision, make sure that you have done your investigation of the company or companies that you are considering.   You will be forming a business relationship with this company, therefore ensure that the company is solid financially and has sound business practices. If you need questions answered or need support, is a “real person” available?   There are times when searching through a list of FAQ’s (frequently asked questions) just doesn’t work.   Plus it’s good to develop a working relationship with people in the company that you are doing business with.

Home Based Business – Is it for you?

In today’s economy, it’s hard for a large majority of the population to make ends meet.   Everywhere we look our expenses creep upwards while our income lags behind.   One salary households struggle to get through the month and have been known to “rob Peter to pay Paul”.   Even in households with two salaries coming in, there are times when there is more month than money!

Juggling the family finances can at times be trying.   What’s the answer?   Perhaps a second job . . . It’s an option if you don’t mind giving up some family time for additional work time.   Try paring back the expenses , if that can be done.   Stretch your dollars as far as you can. Go through the storage bins and closets and have a yard sale or advertise items online as that could bring in some extra cash.   Most of us have been around this block at one time or another!

Enter the technological age with all the advances in how we connect with our world. The portability of an office is at hand in the form of smartphones and tablets. Business can be conducted from any location as long as a phone and internet connection are available.    Given the ease in which you can conduct business using modern technology, it is not a wonder that the number of households with home based businesses have shot up substantially in the last few years.

Whether a person starts a home based business on a part-time basis or whether a person jumps right into full time at the onset, there are many advantages.   Among these perks are personal freedom and independence. Time spent in traffic can be redirected towards spending more time with family. There are no bosses, no dress code, no set work schedule, and no office politics to deal with.    Personal drive, discipline, and time-management skills are required.

There are tax advantages to having a home based business.   A percentage of most household bills including mortgage or rent, utilities, property taxes, insurance, phone and internet bills can be deducted based on the percentage of your house that is used for your home office. Be sure to follow the Tax Guides for Small Businesses as set out by the Government.   Any improvements or repairs to your home office are also deductible business expenses. Be sure and keep all receipts.

Any home based business expenses are tax deductible including tax preparation fees for your home based business; education expenses for classes you take to improve your business skills; software and office supplies purchased to use for your business, and transportation used for business purposes (deduct expense for mileage traveled for business at a per mile/km amount).   All items you need to conduct your business are deductible.

There are other positives when considering a home based business.   Start up costs of a home based business are considerably less when compared to starting a brick & mortar business or owning a franchise.     You get to expand your skills as you deal with all aspects of running a business. You get to set your own schedule therefore it will be a little less stressful when having to juggle demands of work and family. You are rewarded as the harder you work, the more money you can make.

There are a multitude of home based businesses to choose from so be prepared to spend some time and effort checking out the opportunities before deciding which opportunity to pursue. Be sure to take into consideration your lifestyle. Think about whether you would want to be able to conduct your business from more than one location; if not now, perhaps in the future.   Plan ahead.   It’s just as easy to choose a business that can be conducted primarily over the internet than a business that requires a more permanent location.

Give starting a home based business some thought . . . it may be just what you need!
